Located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur is majorly an industrial and commercial city. Spread over an area of 1642 square kilometers, it was founded by King Hindu Singh of the state of Sachendi. The name of the city has been derived from Kanhiyapur, which was later called Kanhapur and today took its name as Kanpur. Well linked to roadways through NH2 and NH25, the city attracts historically and religiously interested tourists. Boodha Bargad, Jain Glass Temple, Kanpur Gardens, Bithoor, Allen Forest Zoo, Jajmau etc. are some of the major tourist attractions.
