About Rajsamand Lake : Maharana Raj Singh was the one who built this enormous lake with statistics of 60 feet deep in depth, spreading across 4 miles in length and 1.75 miles in breadth. This lake is a beauty to see in Udaipur. Built in the year of 1660 this lake is a historical site in Udaipur. There is a dam built in the lake which is existing since 17th century. Another attraction of the lake is the embankment made in white marble in the southern part of the lake.
Visit Rajsamand Lake to see nine glorious pavilions which were called as ' nauchowki' built on its embankment . Each pavilion is embellished with intricate detailing and carvings. Also ornamented with images of sun, chariots, gods and various deities etc. Also there are four beautiful arches erected on this embankment. The king used to seat himself here with his descendants for the very famous ceremony of ' Tuladan ' in which the king used to weigh himself in gold and silver and then distribute it to the Brahmans.
The Rajsamand lake of Udaipur attracts hundreds of tourists towards itself.
