About Gulab Bagh : This awesome garden was built during the years of 1850's. This beauty is the work of maharaja Sajjan Singh who made this garden come into existence. Therefore, this garden is also known as Sajjan Niwas Garden. But the beauty and the abundance of the availability rose flowers make it to be popularly known as Gulab Bagh. Located towards the South east of the amazing City Palace this garden lies exactly beneath the banks of the lake Pichola of Udaipur. Visit Gulab Bagh to get bewitched by the charm of timelessness of the beauty of roses.
Inside the garden you will especially see wide varieties of roses which cannot be easily found in India. The rose plants are beautifully arranged in flower bed form which enhances the beauty of the garden. The wide spacious grass clad lawn along with flowers like roses, orchids etc is a perfect place to spend some peaceful time admiring the beauty of the nature.
Along with this there is a library in the garden called as Saraswati Bhawan Library which was built by raja Fateh Singh. Also there is a Victoria Hall Museum which has restored the artefacts and objects of the royal families. This garden is among the main tourist spot of Udaipur Gulab Bagh.
