About Government Museum - This museum was earlier a building known as Kachahari Kalan which was used as an administrative division by the rulers where they used to settle their administrative matters and disputes of the Bharatpur province. Later in the year of 1944 AD the kachahari was converted into a museum. Ancient relics of the rulers and historically important objects and artifacts are preserved and displayed in this museum for the visitors and tourists who have an inclination and love towards history and wish to know history from deep inside.
In the building of Government Museum Bharatpur the 'kamra khas' or say the personal room or section was used as an important part of the museum. The museum holds the valuable traces of the kings of Bharatpur. Some of the remarkable sculptures of the villages like Bayana, Bareh , Noh and Mailah are kept in the museum.
