About Nakoda Jain Temple- This temple dates back to more than 2300 years ago. This now important Jain temple is a main tourist spot and pilgrimage point for Jain devotees. This temple is positioned on a hilltop at 1500 feet high height. The temple is said to be built by two brothers namely, Veersen and Nakorsen . Inside the temple there is a huge idol made of black marble stone of the jain saint , shri Parshvanath. The Nakoda Jain Temple Barmer is situated in a neat surrounding with a beautiful emerald like green garden in front. The entrance itself is peaceful to the mind. The dazzling black idol with sparkling golden decorated surroundings and the flawless architecture makes the place beautifully serene and ethereal. It is one of the main tourist spot in Barmer Nakoda Jain Temple. On one side of the temple sits an idol of saint Parshvanath in a 'padmasan' position and on the other side there is a holy idol of the deity Bhaironathji. There is a 'bhojanshala' or canteen in the temple premises which serves free food to the visitors. The temple is one of the main pilgrimage sites for Jains and a lot of devotees visit this temple daily.
