About City Palace - The idea of building City Palace fabricated in king Bakhtayar Singh's mind and therefore city palace was constructed in the year 1793. The City Palace is a superlative prototype of indo-Islamic architecture. The entry to the palace is through six gates namely Suraj pol, Jai pol,Chand pol, Laxman pol Kishan pol and andheri gate and after entering the palace you get encountered with four majestic lord Krishna temple stationed in all the four corners of the palace. The architectural designs speak of the beauty of late 17th century. The mesmerizing Indo-Islamic framework of the City Palace India can be of real interest for history junkies.
Inside the palace in the splendid Durbar Hall and there lays a throne on a little raised platform made in gold and velvet which is a real eye candy for tourists. A part of the palace has been converted into a museum containing the precious remains of the palace and the valuable articles of the ancient era.
