The lake was further adorned by building pavilions near it by the Mughal ruler Shahjahan in 1863. Also many adorable gardens like Daulat Bagh Gardens were made around lake by another Mughal king Jahangir. Another striking thing about Ana Sagar Lake is that in the middle of the lake there is an island made too which can be reached by water scooters or boats. The boats are available on hire for tourists to take a stroll in the lake.
