Ajmer Sharif in Ajmer Rajasthan has been made in the memory of Sufi saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisty. It has the maqbara or the tomb of this great saint. The dargah Sharif is the prized possession of Ajmer where a huge number of tourist visit everyday with a hope for their wishes and prayers to be fulfilled. Mohammed Bin Tughlaq is said to have visited the shrine for the first time in 1332. Later on Sultan Khilji built a beautiful mosque near the dargah especially for the Khadims or workers of that time. Akbar was a strong devotee of Hazrat Khwaja and he further adorned the dome of Hazrat with intricate carvings and on it an golden it was written that part about Ajmer sharif and Khwaja which no author had written about him.

The Nizam Gate is the primary gate towards the entrance of the shrine after that follows the Shahjahani Gate which was built by emperor Shah Jahan and then comes the great Buland Darwaza built by Sultan Mahmood Khilji .
Every year in Islamic month of Rajab an 'urs' is organised at Ajmer Sharif india to which a large number of tourists come especially to attend and offer 'chaddars' to harzat's shrine. Main tourist spot of Ajmer Ajmer Sharif draws the devotees and tourists towards itself in large numbers every year.
